Abacus earns three Critics' Choice Documentary Awards nominations
A film as indefatigable as its subjects, Abacus:Small Enough to Jail has been nominated for three Critics' Choice Documentary Awards including Best Documentary and Best Political Documentary, and the Sung Family has been nominated for Most Compelling Living Subject of a Documentary.
Indiewire reports here.
The news follows the film earning a coveted spot on DOC NYC's 15-film Short List of Academy Award contenders. For the past four years, the Short List had nine to 10 titles overlap with the Academy's official Short List, with four to five titles going on to Oscar nominations.
